Hi there Bloglanders
Yesterday I showed you my DIY Jar and Flower home (garden!!) decor and a bit of info on how I did it. As the only picture I posted, was a collage, I received numerous request for a picture showing more detail.
So, Ta-da!!! By public demand:
For Wynand's birthday we had it on our front gate to welcome guests to his party. After that, I hung it on the wall next to our front door where it still is.
I recycled empty jars into vases, filled it with flowers and ivy from my garden and hung everything with wire hangers from Typo and some pretty, pink ribbon. I also made some of the same jar hangers to fill with tealights. Sorry, I didn't take a pic of these but when we lit them again, I will surely do and include a link right here. Check back and all will be revealed!!
I'm submitting my project to the Craftaholics Anonymous Friday Finds Linky Party. I totally love the projects they showcase every Friday. Hop over there and see for yourself what the rest of Blogland did with their creative juices.
That's it. Recycle, reuse, re-purpose and use what you have on hand. Love it!!
Have a GREAT day and thanks for looking at my blog today.

Sunday Summary Week 36
Hello Bloglanders
I can't believe that Spring is in the air and I should start on my Christmas pressies right now. What a busy, busy year! I'm catching up with my Project Life and did this layout over the weekend.
It's all about August being such a weird month - from my appendix up to THE WEDDING. I wanted to add a few pics to zuss up the layout and had them all printed in thumbprint size and black and white. I never use the overlays in the project life kits SO, "waste not, want not" decided to use one in every single pocket!! That's IMPERFECT ME - if I try something NEW, I pull out all the stops. I did need a bit more space for journaling so I added a 3x4 SNAP Photo Flip Pocket. I opened it up and marked it with the pink arrow for U 2 C.
I totally love them. Have you seen them before?? I got mine from Citrus Twist and this is what they look like:

Oh, my garden is BEAUTIFUL. I wish I could sit outside and soak up the sun all day long but I'm SO snowed under. The office is busy, we are planning an overseas trip and everything must be booked and sorted ASAP, my house needs me ................................................ Do you think crafters can order longer days somewhere??
That's it. Back to my "to do" lists!! Thanks for looking at my blog today. Keep checking back as I have lots more to share right here. Have a marvellous week and remember to TRY SOMETHING NEW!!

Hearty Notepads from recycled office paper
Good morning Bloglanders
Yes, I'm still staying outside near the pool and under my veranda .......................... keep reading and I'll share a sneak peak. First up: My project: Note Pads from recycled office paper:
Wynand and I have our own business and we recycle all our office paper. We have a box where we keep it and every once in a while I convert it into notebooks. I've shown you one I made here and here. We do use a lot of notebooks to write down messages because if I use a loose piece of paper, it normally gets lost. So, I decided to try my hand at "hearty" notepads this time round. Best part is if you fold one A4 sheet in 4 you can cut 8 hearts from every sheet and what remains, can go directly in the recycling - no need to shred - you can't figure out a thing.
Here you can see the front and the back:
I don't write on the back of my notes anyway therefore I don't mind that it is partly printed with office info. Best part is: I've made nice, funky, sturdy covers and in future, I can just add more heart notes. For the covers I've used scraps from my MME "My Girl" stash. I've glued them onto sturdy carton (recycled from packaging material).
And now for the sneak peak into my workspace:
Left is my view up into the vines that cover my porch and on the right my temporary work station on a garden bench looking onto the garden and pool. I'm staying out here until winter!!
That's it. I'm off to splash in the pool. Thanks for looking at my blog today. Have a great day!
Bye
Hazel
