Something Sweet

Happy Friday Bloglanders

I hope you are having a Funky Friday!!  It's birthday season down under in Sunny SA and I had to get ahead with my pressie prep.

Let's start with my Apricot Jam.

Every year during November I cook a LOT of Apricot jam - I always say Wynand will eat it on his porridge if I allow him to. Mostly, I use it to serve with freshly baked bread (I do make my own), to bake Hertzoggies, Jam Rolls an to give away as thank-you-pressies.

For the thank-you-pressies I add a homemade tag / label and the inspiration for these ones came from the SimonSaysStamp Wednesday challenge -

FOOD AND/OR DRINK

I love botanical prints and got these images from here.  It does look yummy, doesn't it?? Can you believe that I couldn't get any apricot images from the Silhouette store? Well, I made my own:

And I added one of the die cuts to the lid of the jar.

Easy Peasy and I have a batch of thank-you-gifts ready and prettied-up to give away to family and friends.

Tomorrow I'm doing some more pressies. Please check back and I'll show exactly what's cooking at Hamman HQ.

Thank you pressies

Good day Blogland

For all to those sending emails and comments - thanks a lot. Mum went home to the family farm yesterday where she will have friends, family and all her cherished things around 24/7.  I will keep you updated.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving - I brought my thank-you-gifts to show. What could be more awesome than a"Mason" Jar?  A Mini "Mason" Jar!!

YES!!! Even though the past few weeks have been more than hectic - I did my yearly "thing" with the apricots even though I think Wynand made more batches than me this time round. As I had a BIG thank-you list this year, I decided to gift mini jars of apricot jam.

Here you can see a big jar next to a mini one:

The little one holds 250ml (1cup) and it's the perfect pressie size.  Consol is our South African glass supplier and maybe the rest of Blogland have been using this size forever but I've never seen them on our shelves. We have a Consol factory shop in Stellenbosch and I just LOVE all their glass bottles, jars and even decorative pieces. What a treat!

There you have it - my mini "Mason" jar thank-you-gifts. Get out your jars and start giving. You can still make it in time for Thanksgiving and for Christmas, you have more than enough time to bottle some "thanks" / love / care.

I'm off to run some errands and get my office admin sorted. Thanks for visiting my blog today and remember to try something new - TODAY!

In a Jam

Good morning Bloglanders

I had a wonderful long weekend.  Now I'm trying to finish off my Christmas prep and then I want to give my house a facelift.  It's long overdue but I couldn't decide what to do so I just left it BUT that is about to change ....................................... watch this space and all will be revealed.

In the meantime, with two big boys at home. It's food, laundry, food, laundry, food, laundry 24/7. To top it all, it's summer in Sunny SA so I got hold of some apricots - Wynand's favourite and I had to do my December routine - cook apricot jam! Her they are:

Once again I made my own labels and this time round I used my very own font - Hazel Nut, If you missed out, read about it here.

And here they are before I started giving away and using:

It does look like a lot but I do give away to family and friends. I also use a lot for my family's favourite cookie - Hertzoggies.

That's it, another December project done and dusted!!  Thanks for looking at my Blog today and please come back to play as I have lots more to share right here.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Hazel
