Happy Valentine's Day 2016

Hi there Bloglanders

This morning when I wanted to write a brand, spanking new blogpost, I remembered that it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. I didn't prep anything special as Wynand and I are alone most of the time (with both the boys having their own, grown-up lives) and we do special things for one another every day.

I'm planning a picnic in our garden en have more than enough projects from past years lined up to make it special.

I just typed "Valentine's Day" into the "search" option on my blog and all these came up!! Have a go and you are in for a treat -a Valentine's Day treat  - from me to you.

We will be having coffee in the mugs, I'll serve cool, summery cocktails in the bottles, I'm printing the Subway art onto copy paper and it will be our placemats, the tins will hold small hearty chocolates.  I loved doing all these projects and are glad that they can be altered and re-used in years when my mojo is low.

That's it. Hope I brought you some inspiration. Have a hearty Valentine's Day and please come back to play as I'll be back with another project soon.

Valentine Inspiration

Hello Bloglanders

I hope you are having a happy Friday the 13th and if things are not going your way - kick up your heels - tomorrow is Valentine's day and you deserve some fun!! Spread some LOVE.

I'm always looking for non-edible Valentine favours for my family. Don't ask me why, but I think it's because I like things to last more than a day. And these are ones that I found on Pinterest:

This one knocked my socks off!!

And you blow me away:

Colouring-in is the new flavour of the month @ Hamman HQ:

My family IS exSTRAWordinary.

Staying with the kiddos:

Something "BEE" themed:

NEVER enough pens and pencils @ Hamman HQ:

Most of the time I'll do a subway print for to zuss up my house. Of course mine will be in Afrikaans as it is my home language and if you check back tomorrow, I'll gladly share my effort. This is the one that inspired me:

I love to recycle and notepads are ALWAYS useful:

For those of you who got down to business months ago - let's hear what you did!  Leave me a comment and for those of you who are rushing around to finish projects (like IMPERFECT ME) - good luck and keep going.

Have a great weekend and remember to have FUN and to try something new - TODAY!

1 Piece of Painted Paper

Hello Bloglanders

Two weeks ago I showed you my "spots and dots painting" here. As always, I used it for various projects. Here is my Multimedia page:

I do love my purple journal!

And a close-up of "be inspired":

I've painted with acrylic paints, used die cuts from glitter foam and the rose was done with my Silhouette. It's nice and dimensional with lots of new techniques that I've tried. For my non-Afrikaans-speaking Bloglanders: INSPIRASIE = INSPIRATION. The whole page is all about what inspires me.

For my layout I added pictures of my inspiration - "my" cat, plates and new blanket:

I was brave enough to do some ink splatters  ............................... perfect for IMPERFECT ME. And still ............................................. I had some painted paper left.  As it's wedding season at HQ Hamman, I decided to do two wedding themed cards:

The wedding cake was cut from my painted paper and I used a Sizzix stamp and die set that I've had for ages and never used. To give my cards dimension, I used my fave scroll embossing folder to do the backing paper. That idea came from the SimonSaysStamp Wednesday challenge. You can click here to see what the rest of Blogland did with the same inspiration.

I did some more stamp and die cuts but saving it to do Project Life wedding pages. YES, my son's!!!!! And if the fancy takes me, I can use the card on the right as part of my layout. SO many possibilities.

That's it. I've got more crafting to do, new things to try and a life to enjoy. Thanks for looking at my blog and please come back to play.
