Old idea reinstated

Good morning Bloglanders

What a wonderful day in sunny SA.  Perfect for sushi and eating apples in the park.  I'm so glad it's Friday even though with yesterday's public holiday, it feels like Friday every day!

Today I'm sharing one of the very first layouts I did - 2006, I think.  I had friends over and at that time I bought two brand new heart punches. Since then I have converted to my good old Cuttlebug and dies.  Anyway, I handed all my scraps and new punches to the girls and we didn't see them again that evening. I ended up with stacks of hearts and decided to convert them into a layout.

Here it is:

I used pictures from my school friends, cut it into circles to form the centre of the flowers, arranged the heart shapes at the back to form petals, added a few stems, leaves (hearts cut in half) and small flowers and it was done.  Still a firm fave to make me smile whenever I open my childhood album.

Today, I'm planning to do exactly the same flowers but this time to for a card for the CPS challenge 277. While I'm at it I think I will do one in The Play Date Cafe colors of the week as well. Pink, orange and yellow.  Would be perfect for flowers.

I'm off to town  to run my errands but I'll be back at my crafting desk in a flash.  Please come back to play! Enjoy your weekend!
